We are so excited about the upcoming launch of our newest primary school in Burkina Faso. Slightly larger than Colorado, Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa. The official language is French. Most of the regions in Burkina Faso are affected by conflict, especially in bordering areas. 1.7 million people are internally displaced due to violence, including almost 900,000 children as of September 2022. It’s considered one of the poorest countries in the world.
Our school will be located near the capital, the city of Ouagadougou, one of the oldest cities on earth. We are well underway with construction, and the doors are set to open in the fall of 2023. This school will serve as a beacon of hope in the community, as we know the power of education.
