Why are there two weeks for the Uganda trip?
Last year we had so much fun together in Uganda that interest in the trip grew even more. To make room for everyone who wants to come, we are hosting two identical weeks in 2026. Each week includes the same activities, visits, and moments we love most. Just pick the week that works best for you. We cannot wait to share this adventure with you.
What is the itinerary for the Uganda trip?
You’ll get to experience the incredible work happening in Uganda! The itinerary includes:
- Visits to the Love Does Safe House, Primary and Secondary Schools
- Walkthrough of the future Restore University and Giraffe Sanctuary site
- Meet about Restore University
- Prep and attend a school wide Sports Day
- Wrap up the trip with a stunning Nile River Cruise and Sunrise Safari
When and where do we arrive/depart?
- Airport: Entebbe International Airport (EBB)
- First Trip (SOLD OUT!)
- Arrival Date: July 19, 2026
- Departure Date: July 25, 2026

What is the cost of the trip?
- Individual Rate: $3,000
- Family/Shared Room Rate: $2,500 per person
- Deposit: $200 per person
*Due upon registration, non-refundable
- Total Balance Due: April 1, 2026
What does the trip fee cover?
- Seven-night stay with accommodations in Kampala, Gulu, and Paraa Safari Lodge
The Paraa stay will be a highlight of the journey where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking Nile River Cruise and Sunrise Safari
- Transportation within Uganda, including an MAF flight to Gulu*
- All meals will be provided throughout the trip
- $1,000 of the trip cost will be a donation to Love Does that will directly support the development of Restore University and creating lasting impact in Uganda
*Flights are not included and must be purchased separately

Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Uganda?
- Passport: Yes, please ensure it is valid for at least six months after your return (January 2027)
- Visa: Yes, a Uganda visa is required and must be applied for online by the traveler

Love Does will provide the information to complete the visa application within 2 months of the trip arrival date
Do I need travel insurance?
- Yes, we highly recommend getting travel insurance for you trip
What vaccinations and health precautions are required?
- Required: Yellow Fever Vaccination
- Strongly Recommended: Malaria Prevention – Please consult your doctor for the best option
- Do not drink tap water while in country—bottled water is recommended
***We recommend scheduling a Passport Health appointment or consulting your doctor to ensure all necessary vaccinations are up to date
Can my kids come? Is there a minimum age requirement?
- Yes, we’ve had families join us before, and kids have had a great experience
- One or both parents must accompany children under the age of 18
- We recommend children 14 years and older for the best experience
Are flights included in the trip cost?
- No, flights are not included in the trip fee. You will be responsible for purchasing your own flights.

Do we travel together from the U.S.?
- No, we do not meet up in the U.S. to travel together but you might meet up with fellow travelers along the way
- Everyone departs from their home airport and arrives in Entebbe
Is Bob Goff going to be on the trip?
- Several members from our Love Does staff will be leading this trip. Bob will be cheering us on stateside while you are on this unforgettable adventure!
