Four years ago, the Love Does School in Poland began inside a refugee center in Warsaw to support students who fled the war in Ukraine with education. Over the past four years, we’ve watched the school grow beyond those first classrooms in the refugee center. We moved into our own standalone school building and expanded to serve students from primary through secondary school.

We’ve watched students walk across the stage at graduations, celebrate their accomplishments, and take their next steps toward university. Through the Love Does Launch Program, we’ve also been able to help graduates continue their education and pursue their dreams beyond high school.

Four years ago, some of our students walked through our doors carrying the weight of a war they never should have had to experience. They arrived as children, having left behind their homes, schools, friends, and everything familiar. Today, those same students are walking across graduation stages, preparing for university, and making plans for their futures.

And now, a new school year is here!

To start off the school year, students have been sharing their favorite summer stories. Some remembered the sea and traveling, some time with family and friends, and others the little moments that made their summer special.

Happy 4th anniversary and welcome back to school!
