Our Mobile Food Pantry Program has come a long way since we began in 2021! Five years ago, when Afghan refugees began resettling in San Diego, we mobilized quickly, delivering groceries directly to families housed in local hotels who needed immediate support. Five years later, that same spirit has continued to grow!
Now, our Mobile Food Pantry includes distributions at schools, senior homes, community centers, low income housing complexes, after school programs, community resource centers, emergency pantries, and churches across San Diego. We serve over 450 families each week, distributing 15,000 pounds of food and collaborating with nearly 20 partner organizations to make it all happen.
The need in our community has grown, and so have we! Behind every number is a real family and behind every distribution is a network of volunteers, donors, and partners who show up week after week to make it possible. Thank you for being part of it.
