Every quarter, we’re reminded that love has a way of changing lives in extraordinary ways. One of those stories is Melanie’s. After fleeing violence in Michoacán with her mother and her sister, who has a disability, Melanie arrived at the Love Does School in Tijuana believing university was no longer possible. Last week, Melanie celebrated her high school graduation, and soon she will begin university. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and can’t wait to see the ways she will continue to change the world.
Reflecting on her journey, Melanie shared:
“What I learned at the Love Does School is to do everything with love, and in love comes hope and faith. Those are true words that mean so much to me. That is what it means to have hope.”
